Synopsis

In this town, no one may touch the sea. Inside the twenty-two-meter Sea Wall, Marlow Kane scrapes a living at the market with Willa, a girl who followed him home and never left. One day an imperial transport ship, hauled by griffins, falls out of the sky. Its front half clears the wall and lands in the forbidden zone, where trespassers are shot on sight. Marlow runs toward the wall.
